Location: Maunaloa, Molokai
We are, from time to time, asked to recommend a property that is not a concrete jungle, away from it all and somewhere were you can meet the local people. Well folks this is it!! The Molokai Ranch spans almost a third of the western side of the Island of Molokai, and covers 54,000 acres.
The local village is Maunaloa, boasting the island's only cinema, a general store, the Big Wind Kite Factory and, of course, no traffic lights. Studios are now in the planning stage to house local artisans. The local airport Hoolehua is a 10 mile drive from the ranch, and as rental cars are not welcome on the ranch, airport transfers are arranged at time of booking for which a charge is made.
